Donald Trump Jr. and his wife Bettina Anderson may have had a lavish wedding in the Bahamas, but a new report claims their original plans involved a much more high-profile location: the White House.
According to a CNN report, Anderson had floated the idea of hosting their wedding at the White House before the plan was ultimately scrapped.
Donald Trump Jr. allegedly opposed the idea, citing ongoing tensions involving Iran as a reason it was not the right time for such a celebration.
President Donald Trump also agreed the White House would not be an appropriate venue under the circumstances.
The couple instead opted for a smaller and more private celebration in the Bahamas, with a possible follow-up celebration at the White House still on the table.
