Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer has shed new light on the Nancy Guthrie case, suggesting a possible connection to the 'Wrench Ring' theory. Coffindaffer believes the case remains unsolved due to the sophisticated nature of the crime's architect.

She pointed to a similar crime committed by two California teens in Scottdale, where they used cryptocurrency as a target. Coffindaffer questioned whether this could be linked to the Wrench Ring, a network of organized attacks against the rich to extort cryptocurrency.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has stated that the Forensics Department is making progress in identifying the unknown DNA found on Nancy's property. Nanos pushed back on claims that the case has become a 'cold case,' saying it could only be considered as such if the labs determine they cannot identify the blood evidence.
