Three months after Nancy Guthrie's disappearance from her Tucson, Arizona residence, two seasoned FBI profilers have shared their insights on the case, revealing a surprising theory.

Retired Supervisory Special Agent Jim Clemente and fellow retired profiler Jim Fitzgerald believe the kidnapping is linked to Savannah Guthrie and that the primary target may not have been Nancy.

Fitzgerald stated, "This has something to do with Savannah on a stalking-type scenario," suggesting investigators scrutinize all correspondence Savannah has received in the last five years, including social media messages and emails.

The hypothesis is that an individual unable to reach Savannah directly redirected their focus towards her mother instead.

Fitzgerald also questioned the authenticity of ransom demands sent following Nancy's disappearance, describing them as opportunistic and a secondary aspect of a crime driven by psychological factors.

The case remains unresolved, with investigators sifting through over 30,000 tips and limited actionable leads.
