Anthropic AI's flagship chatbot, Claude, experienced a global outage on Tuesday, leaving hundreds of users unable to access the platform.
According to Downdetector, the outage peaked at 3:30 pm with over 300 users affected.
The issue began at 11 am and continued to grow until 3:30 pm, after which the outage percentage started to decrease.
Anthropic's Claude Status page posted updates about the 'elevated errors' on the AI chatbot's Opus 4.6 model.
The company said it was investigating the issue at 6:04 UTC and later identified the problem and implemented a fix.
Several users took to X to share their experiences, with one describing the outage as the 'longest' in recent memory.
