Senate hopeful Graham Platner of Maine is facing scrutiny over disturbing Reddit posts that have resurfaced amid a sexting controversy. The posts, which have been mass-scrubbed from his account, reveal Platner's views on prostitution, sexual assault, and racism. In one post, he downplayed the issue of Latin American prostitutes, while in another, he defended soldiers who cheated on their wives. Platner also made light of sexual assault and called war 'the most enjoyable experience.'
These revelations come after a Wall Street Journal report claimed that Platner's wife, Amy Gertner, had previously alleged that her husband exchanged sexually explicit texts with other women during their marriage. Platner has since broken his silence, dismissing the allegations as 'gossip' and focusing on the 'material realities' of the Senate race.
