The Consulate General of India in New York is hosting a webinar to guide Indian exporters on selling their goods in the US. The event, titled 'Discover Pathways for Export to USA for Indian Exporters and MSMEs,' will be held on May 29 in collaboration with Walmart.
The webinar aims to provide comprehensive information on supply chain and compliance requirements for Indian exporters and suppliers. This will help them bring their products into the US, particularly across Walmart's shelves.
Last month, the Indian Consulate in Seattle hosted a similar webinar with Costco Wholesale Corporation, which saw over 200 Indian exporters attend.
The Indian Consulate in New York stated that the webinar will facilitate understanding about the pathway to export to the United States, primarily with Walmart. The retail giant has over 10,750 stores and numerous eCommerce websites in 19 countries.
The 'India-US Trade Facilitation Portal' was launched last month to strengthen India-US trade and business engagement. The portal aims to 'unlock' new trade opportunities, improve ease of doing business, support MSMEs and startups, and accelerate efforts to meet the USD 500 billion trade target between the US and India by 2030.
