Iran's top negotiator and parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned the US against resuming war, saying the country's armed forces have rebuilt their capabilities during the ceasefire.

Ghalibaf stated that if the US 'foolishly restarts the war', the consequences would be 'more forceful and bitter' than at the start of the conflict.

The warning comes amid reports suggesting that the White House is considering renewed strikes against Iran.

A US intelligence report indicated that Iran was rebuilding its military capabilities after being heavily impacted in the war with the US that started with US and Israel launching joint strikes on Iran on February 28.

Ghalibaf also stated that Iran would not compromise on its national rights and could not trust a party that has no honesty at all, in reference to the US.
