Israeli peace activists have launched a new party called 'A Place for Us All' ahead of national elections. The party, led by Rula Daood and Alon-Lee Green, aims to promote Jewish-Arab partnership and address issues like security, housing, and education.
The party's launch comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his intention to seek a new mandate in the planned polls. Netanyahu has led Israel through three years of war and is facing mounting domestic criticism.
The party's focus on peace and equality has been welcomed by many, including Daood, who is the first Palestinian woman to head a national political party in Israel.
Daood said, 'This is the last moment to save our society. We are being abandoned, murdered, our future is being burned -- and I know that to fix this, it is not enough to only say what we are against. We also need to say what we are for.'
