A GoFundMe has been launched for Jameson, a two-year-old Golden Saint Bernard Doodle killed by LAPD officers at a Canoga Park apartment complex.
According to reports, officers responded to a call about a woman screaming, but it turned out to be a celebration over the New York Knicks' NBA Finals victory.
When the officers asked the family's mother to secure Jameson, who was barking at them, she momentarily closed the door, and when she re-opened it, Jameson stepped out and was fatally shot.
The LAPD claimed the dog charged at an officer, but the family disputes this, saying Jameson was not aggressive.
A GoFundMe titled 'Justice for Jameson' aims to raise $120K for cremation fees and other expenses.
