A lockdown was reportedly announced at Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo, California, sparking fears of a shooting.

According to reports, a large contingent of OCSD vehicles was seen on scene, with deputies concerned about a specific vehicle.

However, an update later revealed that the lockdown was lifted as a precaution after an issue adjacent to the campus was resolved.

Despite the lack of confirmation from authorities, social media users shared messages and photos, including one of a deputy with a long gun pointed down the street.

Parents and students expressed relief that the lockdown was lifted and that there was no threat to the school or students.
