A vegetation fire in Fallbrook, California, dubbed the Morro fire, has been brought under control after prompting evacuation warnings in the area.

The fire, which broke out on Wednesday, was initially reported to be two acres in size and was spreading at a moderate rate, with two structures immediately threatened.

However, forward progression of the fire has now been stopped, and evacuation warnings have been lifted.

Local authorities had issued an evacuation warning for Zone SDC-0277, but it was later lifted.

Several visuals from the scene of the fire emerged, including a video of smoke from a distance.

Relevant authorities and residents have been monitoring the situation closely, with some offering help to evacuate horses and others expressing relief that the fire has been brought under control.
