Andy Barr was previously married to Carol Leavell Barr, with whom he had two daughters, Eleanor and Mary Clay, before her unexpected death in 2020.
In 2023, Barr married Davis Huffman in a private ceremony at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and the couple has one son together, Hale.
