A Texas parole officer, Donna Murray Robinson, was fired after making a disturbing comment about Austin Metcalf's family on Facebook.
Robinson, a 35-year-old Houston native, lost her job with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after sharing a post about the divisive trial of Karmelo Anthony, who was convicted of Metcalf's murder.
The post, which has since been deleted, read: 'I for one don’t give a fk about the family’s loss. It’s about time these fkng bigots feel the pain that they have inflicted on other groups of people since the beginning of time!'
Robinson was fired after her bosses discovered the post, citing that working at TDCJ 'carries significant public trust and requires decisions free from personal bias.'
The department stated that Robinson's comments were 'incompatible with TDCJ policy and values' and 'demonstrate bias and a lack of the impartiality essential to the fair administration of justice in Texas.'
