Three police officers were shot in Philadelphia's Wynnefield neighborhood, with the suspect later pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 pm on Saturday night at N 54th and Arlington streets, where officers were responding to a reported shooting incident.
Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel stated that officers were met with gunfire after attempting to arrest the suspect, who drew a weapon during the process.
Four officers discharged their weapons, with the suspect being shot and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:08 pm.
The injured officers were rushed to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and are in stable condition.
