Over 100 days have passed since Nancy Guthrie's disappearance from her Tucson, Arizona residence, and the Pima County Sheriff's Department has finally released an official statement regarding the case.
According to Michael Ruiz from Fox News Digital, a spokesperson from the department revealed that investigators are still analyzing Nancy's home security video and forensic analysis is ongoing.
The spokesperson also confirmed that DNA analysis is still underway and has not reached a dead end.
When asked if anyone had been ruled out as a suspect, the spokesperson directed Ruiz to a prior statement made by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who emphasized that the Guthrie family has been cleared as possible suspects and are victims in this case.
Nanos pleaded with the media to report with compassion and professionalism, stating that suggesting otherwise is 'not only wrong, it is cruel.'
Investigators remain hopeful that someone will recognize the primary suspect, who has not yet been publicly identified, and may have changed their behavior or appearance after Nancy's abduction.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
