Deon Wiley III, a 17-year-old Saginaw United High School student, was shot and killed on May 22 in Saginaw, Michigan. An alleged video has gone viral claiming he was flashing cash on prom night, but his mother denies the allegations.

Deon was described by his mother as a 'good boy, a bright boy' who was 'never in trouble.' He enjoyed video games, basketball, and babysitting his young nephew.

A GoFundMe was set up for Deon, which described him as 'deeply loved, full of promise, and had a bright future ahead of him.'

Deon's mother collected his diploma in his honor at the commencement ceremony, and his name appeared in the graduation program brochure.

A classmate remembered Deon, saying 'I just wish D was here with me to help me do this. He was supposed to see me do it, he was supposed to be doing it with me. I love my guy.'
