Seattle Police and FBI agents conducted a joint operation on Aurora Avenue North, rescuing several sex trafficking victims amidst ongoing pimp turf wars. The area has seen recent shootings and disputes among pimps.

Investigative reporter Katie Daviscourt captured videos of authorities assisting the victims late into the night, while a suspected pimp trailed her coverage.

The operation coincided with increased patrols for Seattle's first FIFA World Cup 2026 match on Monday.

According to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office, approximately 427 felony cases have been filed for incidents along Aurora since 2024, ranging from assaults to illegal gun possession.

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson announced the city would close several streets in the area through the summer, and Police Chief Shon Barnes dispatched more officers to the North Aurora area.
