The Trump administration is pushing forward with a crackdown on leaks to the media by proposing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for all current and future federal employees.

A draft NDA was posted on the Office of Personnel Management website, seeking comment from the public on its use by federal agencies.

The proposed notice cites several instances of unauthorized disclosures, including internal communications related to rulemaking and policy development, as well as information about planned immigration enforcement actions.

Media outlets, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, have been critical of the administration's efforts to silence federal employees and restrict press freedom.

The American Federation of Government Employees has also spoken out against the proposed NDA, calling it an attempt to 'purge the civil service of nonpartisan career employees'.
