US President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Oman while discussing negotiations with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz, stating that no country can control the strategic waterway.

Trump described the Strait of Hormuz as 'international waters' that cannot be controlled by any one country, adding that Oman will 'behave' or face consequences.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the current framework being discussed with Tehran and emphasized that any final agreement must meet all US expectations.

The negotiations have focused on the future management of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's nuclear program, and demands regarding Tehran's enriched uranium stockpile.
