Workers in Washington D.C. removed President Donald Trump's name from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, following a federal judge's ruling that its renaming was unlawful.
A crowd gathered outside the arts center as workers erected scaffolding to take down the signage, which was delayed due to thunderstorms.
US District Judge Christopher Cooper had ordered Trump's name to be removed from the iconic building by Friday, citing that only Congress has the right to change its name.
The Kennedy Center dropped Trump's name from its website earlier this week, and the judge also issued a temporary block on Trump's demand to close the venue for two years of renovations.
