US President Donald Trump has accused American media of 'treason' for their coverage of the war with Iran, claiming it gives the country 'false hope.'
Trump made the remarks on Truth Social, where he also claimed that Iran's military had been destroyed by American and Israeli forces.
He stated that all of Iran's 159 ships were now 'at the bottom of the sea,' and that Tehran has 'no Navy, their Air Force is gone, all Technology is gone, their "leaders" are no longer with us, and the Country is an Economic Disaster.'
Trump's comments come after several reports published by US media claimed that Iran had caused greater damage to US bases in the region.
A report by the Washington Post cited satellite images, which claimed that Iran had caused greater damage to US bases in the Middle East.
The report stated that since the start of the war on February 28, Iranian airstrikes had hit around 228 structures and pieces of equipment related to US military sites across the Gulf region.
Trump's remarks are the latest in a series of attacks on US media outlets by the President and his administration.
