The UK has imposed new sanctions on Iranian entities and individuals accused of using criminal proxies to threaten global security.
The sanctions target organisations and individuals who enable hostile Iranian activity, including the use of criminal gangs to carry out threats overseas.
The measures aim to disrupt illicit finance flows that enable the Iranian regime to pursue destabilising action across West Asia.
UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said the sanctions will not tolerate criminal proxies backed by the Iranian regime who threaten security in the UK and Europe.
The entities sanctioned include Berelian Exchange, GCM Exchange, and the Zindashti Network, while individuals on the sanctions list include Mansour Zarringhalam, Nasser Zarringhalam, Ekrem Abdulkerym Oztunc, and others.
