A 45-year-old Somalia-born British man, Essa Suleiman, has been charged with attempted murder of three men in an anti-semitic terrorist attack in north London.

The attack occurred in Golders Green, a major Jewish hub of London, where two Jewish men were stabbed, and another man was attacked in a separate incident in south-east London.

The 76-year-old victim remains in hospital in a stable condition, while the 34-year-old has been discharged.

Suleiman has also been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place and will appear at the Old Bailey court in London on May 15.

The UK's national threat level has been raised to severe, meaning an attack is highly likely in the next six months, following the incident.
