The US and Iran are close to a peace deal to end the conflict in West Asia, but the timing remains uncertain.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has suggested that a deal could be signed as early as Sunday, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said an MoU with the US 'has never been closer.'

Iran has cautioned against commenting on the timing, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei saying 'we will have to wait and see about the exact date of the signing of the memorandum of understanding.'

US President Trump has posted on Truth Social that the deal will be signed on Sunday, but the US has remained silent on the timing.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his country will not be party to the US-Iran deal, which could put the peace deal into jeopardy.
