Vice President JD Vance was the guest of honor at the US Air Force graduation ceremony at the Falcons Stadium, but his presence was met with loud booing from the graduating cadets.

Vance was booed during his commencement speech, prompting him to acknowledge and respond to the heckling.

He said, 'This is the only commencement speech that I'm giving this year, and so I've watched a few highlights of graduation speeches where this or that corporate leader will discuss artificial intelligence — AI — and be met with literal boos.'

However, it was his second remark that landed him in hot water: 'Now, you can't boo me. I'm the Vice President of the United States.'

Many social media commentators accused him of being authoritarian and claimed that his statement was like a diktat.

Vance also brought up the ongoing war in Iran twice during his speech, praising the personnel involved in the Special Force operation to rescue two US Airmen from Iranian territory.
