S Keerthana, the youngest and only woman minister in Tamil Nadu's TVK cabinet, missed taking her oath at the State Assembly on Monday after forgetting her Certificate of Election.

Keerthana, 29, is the newly elected MLA from Sivakasi and won the seat by a margin of 11,697 votes in the recently concluded elections.

A video of her returning to her seat without taking oath has been making rounds on social media.

According to officials, Keerthana could not produce her certificate of election, which is a prerequisite for taking oath, and may take oath whenever she submits the certificate.

Keerthana is fluent in multiple languages and has drawn attention for her strong command of Hindi, particularly notable in Tamil Nadu where language remains a sensitive and politically significant issue.
