The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation demolished alleged illegal constructions at the residence and properties of AIMIM corporator Matin Patel, who was booked for harbouring Nashik TCS accused Nida Khan.

Khan was arrested on May 7, with police claiming that Patel provided her shelter.

The civic body issued a notice to Patel on May 9, seeking a clarification within 72 hours, but he moved the court seeking a stay, which was not granted.

Mayor Sameer Rajurkar said the process of cancelling Patel's corporatorship will be undertaken after verifying documents related to his property.

Nida Khan is accused in a case related to alleged religious conversion and sexual harassment of some women colleagues at a Nashik unit of TCS.
