The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced Nitin Nabin as its new National President, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailing him as 'my boss in party matters'. The election, however, has been marred by controversy, with the Opposition questioning the legitimacy of the process. The BJP's announcement of Nabin as the sole candidate for the top post has raised eyebrows, with several Opposition leaders questioning the lack of a genuine electoral process. Congress' Pawan Khera likened the situation to the reality TV show 'Bigg Boss', saying, 'Is Bigg Boss being played here? What is this? The biggest boss of Hindu dharma is shedding tears and they are busy playing Bigg Boss.' Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha went further, claiming that Nabin's election was 'pre-decided'. 'It is the party's internal matter, but there was nothing like an electoral process in all of this. Whatever happened was pre-decided...' Jha said. Other Opposition leaders, including AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and Congress MP Manickam Tagore, also questioned the election process, with Tagore accusing the BJP of being an 'authoritative party moving towards dictatorship'. The BJP has denied these allegations, with Nabin assuming charge as the party president in the presence of senior leaders, including PM Modi and outgoing party chief J P Nadda. Nabin, 45, is the youngest leader to be elected the BJP national head and will be the 12th president of the party. The Opposition has vowed to continue questioning the legitimacy of the election process, with several leaders calling for greater transparency and accountability within the BJP.
