Four Cheetah cubs were found dead in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park (KNP) on Tuesday, with forest officials suspecting a leopard attack.
The cubs, born in the wild to KGP12, were discovered dead in their den in the park in Sheopur, with their mother found roaming nearby.
The monitoring team found the four half-eaten carcasses in the forest, with deep wounds indicating a violent attack.
KGP12, the offspring of Gamini, a cheetah born in South Africa, had given birth to the cubs outside an enclosure, marking a milestone for the project's objectives.
At least 14 other adult cheetahs have been found active in the wild, with 57 cubs born at KNP in the past three years.
