Delhi's air quality continued to pose a health risk on Wednesday, with a very poor Air Quality Index (AQI) of 339 recorded at 8 am. The city's residents experienced shallow to moderate fog in isolated areas, while the minimum temperature rose to 7.7°C, 0.2°C above the normal. However, the outlook for the next few days is not promising, with the Air Quality Early Warning System (AQEWS) predicting that the air quality will remain in the 'very poor' category until Friday. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has lifted curbs implemented under Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan, but the AQEWS bulletin warns that the air quality may deteriorate further. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts cloudy skies throughout the day on Wednesday, with a yellow alert issued for Friday due to possible rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. The IMD also warns that strong winds may persist over the weekend, further exacerbating the air quality issue.
