In a shocking turn of events, Faridabad police have cracked a 2-month-old murder case, arresting a woman and her partner for allegedly killing her husband and making it look like a tragic railway accident. The victim, 36-year-old Suman Jha, was found dead on railway tracks in Mewla Maharajpur on December 1. Initially, it was believed to be a tragic accident, but further investigation revealed a sinister plot.Police say Anjani Devi (29) and her boyfriend Mohammad Riyazul (30) made Jha drink alcohol and then killed him by crushing his head with stones. The body was then placed on the tracks, where it was run over by multiple trains, giving the impression of an accident. The couple, who had been living together in a rented house in Faridabad, had been married for 15 years and had two children. However, Riyazul had been having an affair with Anjani for the past three years, which Jha had discovered just a few days before his murder.Police say the breakthrough in the case came when Jha's brother, Sunny, travelled to Faridabad and identified his brother's belongings from a photograph. Call detail records also revealed that Anjani had been in constant contact with Riyazul before and after the murder, and they later confessed to the crime. The two accused were produced in court on Monday and sent to four-day police remand for further interrogation. An FIR has been registered under Section 302 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
