India and Armenia Strengthen Ties Amid Growing Global Security Concerns

India and Armenia are strengthening their bilateral ties, with key discussions taking place between Indian Defence Chief General Anil Chauhan and Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papkyan. During a four-day visit to Armenia, General Chauhan led an Indian delegation that met with top Armenian officials to discuss ways to enhance defence cooperation and address pressing security concerns. The visit marked a significant step forward in the shared strategic interests of the two nations, with officials highlighting the importance of long-term defence and security collaboration. General Chauhan's meetings included an address at the National Defense Research University in Yerevan, where he spoke about the evolving global security landscape and the impact of technology on modern warfare. The Defence Chief also inaugurated an IT lab and distance learning centre at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy, and paid his respects at the Armenian Genocide Memorial & Museum in Yerevan. These visits underscore the growing partnership between India and Armenia, as they work together to address the complex security challenges of the 21st century.
