India's Top Leaders Make Pitch for Global Investments at Davos Summit

The World Economic Forum summit in Davos, Switzerland has kicked off, with top leaders from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana making a strong push for global investments. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was the first to arrive, meeting with Indian Ambassador to Switzerland Mridul Kumar to discuss the state's potential in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment manufacturing. Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh's 25 new industrial development policies, focusing on AI and quantum technologies, and emphasized the importance of skill development to meet the global demand for skilled workers. The state's IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, added that Andhra Pradesh has a large workforce and is investing heavily in the drone sector. Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy arrived later in the day, planning to hold extensive meetings with global corporate leaders and international investors. At the Telangana Pavilion in Davos, Revanth Reddy will meet with top executives from companies like Google, Salesforce, Unilever, and Tata Group, among others. The Telangana government aims to showcase the state's investment potential and attract major corporations to the region.
