Keeravani's Musical Tribute: Composing for India's 77th Republic Day Parade

New Delhi: Renowned composer MM Keeravani, who won an Oscar for his work on 'Naatu Naatu' from 'RRR,' has been commissioned to create the score for India's 77th Republic Day Parade. The event, taking place on January 26, marks the country's 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' and will feature a grand musical presentation under the Ministry of Culture. In a social media post, Keeravani expressed his honor at being part of this historic celebration, stating that his composition would be performed by 2,500 artists from across the country. The parade will also witness the participation of European Council President Antonio Luis Santos da Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who will attend as chief guests. The EU-India Summit, scheduled for January 27, will focus on key areas such as trade, security, and clean transition. Approximately 10,000 special guests, representing a diverse cross-section of society, have been invited to witness the parade at Kartavya Path. These guests include international sports winners, farmers, innovators, and beneficiaries of various government schemes. The Defence Ministry has made arrangements for the guests to visit notable sites in Delhi and interact with Union ministers during their stay. Keeravani's musical tribute is set to be a highlight of the celebrations, which will also see the participation of various contingents, cultural performers, and officials.
