A dramatic rescue unfolded in Jharkhand, India, as police closed in on the kidnappers of 24-year-old businessman Kairav Gandhi. The captors, who had demanded a ₹10 crore ransom in exchange for his release, abandoned Gandhi on a rural road in Hazaribagh, over 250 km away from his home in Jamshedpur. Gandhi, who was found by police at 4:30 am on Tuesday, was unharmed but reported to be under immense mental pressure. His family expressed gratitude towards the police, media, and local officials for their support during the ordeal. According to investigators, the kidnappers, believed to be a gang from Bihar, had used international numbers to demand the ransom through voice calls and WhatsApp messages. However, as police tightened their grip, the kidnappers panicked and abandoned Gandhi on the Grand Trunk Road. Senior police superintendent Piyush Pandey confirmed that his team had zeroed in on the kidnappers, forcing them to flee. While the family has requested to complete the necessary legal formalities before speaking further, they have expressed relief that Kairav is back home safely. Local politician Saryu Roy has assured the public that the kidnappers will be apprehended soon, and the truth behind the kidnapping will be revealed. The rescue operation marks a significant success for the Jharkhand police, who have been working tirelessly to ensure Gandhi's safe return.
