Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav has ended his estrangement with son Tej Pratap Yadav, reunifying with him at a traditional 'Dahi Chuda' celebration at his Patna residence. The event, which drew several high-profile guests, including Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, marked a significant moment in Bihar's politics. Tej Pratap Yadav, who heads the Janshakti Janata Dal, expressed gratitude towards his father, saying, 'Our parents are our deities, and we will continue to seek their blessings.' The 'Dahi Chuda' ceremony, a traditional no-cook breakfast dish popular in Bihar and eastern India, was a fitting backdrop for the reunion. Pashupati Kumar Paras, chief of the RLJP, believes that the occasion will bring about a new era in Bihar's politics. 'A new equation will be formed, and those scattered within the family will come together,' he said. 'Dahi Chuda' is a nutritious and easily digestible dish made from flattened rice, yoghurt, and sweetener, often paired with fruits and nuts. Its popularity during festivals like Makar Sankranti reflects the region's cultural significance, where it is offered to the Sun God as a symbol of gratitude and good fortune.
