Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) new national president Nitin Nabin as a millennial with vast experience, who will carry forward the party's legacy. Nabin, a five-time legislator from Bihar, was unanimously elected without contest on Tuesday. Modi praised Nabin's simplicity, naturalness, and ability to fulfill responsibilities, citing his past roles as state in charge and minister in the Bihar government. Modi emphasized that Nabin's leadership comes at a crucial time for the country, as it transitions towards achieving 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India). He noted that Nabin, as a millennial, has grown up witnessing significant transformations, including the shift from radio to AI-driven news. Modi expressed confidence in Nabin's ability to lead the party, citing his experience and youthful energy. In his speech, Modi reflected on the party's past presidents, highlighting their contributions to the BJP's growth. He praised the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, M Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda, saying they had expanded the organization and achieved significant milestones. Modi also drew a contrast between the BJP and the Congress, accusing the latter of practicing dynastic politics. He said the BJP values relationships over membership and gives a platform to regional aspirations, making it an attractive option for people from across the country. Modi expressed confidence that the BJP will continue to grow and perform well in upcoming polls, citing its recent successes in Maharashtra and Bihar. The Prime Minister emphasized that the BJP's expansion is a matter of pride and responsibility, and he urged the party to continue encouraging the youth to join politics. He criticized some opposition parties for remaining bound by dynastic rule, saying it hinders their growth and development.
