A minor collision between two aircraft at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport sent shockwaves on Tuesday night. Air India flight AI 2732, bound for Coimbatore, was preparing for takeoff when its wingtip made contact with IndiGo flight 6E 791, which had just landed from Hyderabad. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and all passengers were safely disembarked. According to Air India, the aircraft involved in the incident has been grounded for further technical checks. 'The wingtips of the two aircraft made contact, resulting in damage to our aircraft's wingtip,' an Air India spokesperson explained. 'As a precautionary measure, the aircraft has been grounded for further technical checks.' IndiGo also confirmed the incident, stating that their aircraft is undergoing maintenance inspection. 'The safety and security of our customers, crew, and aircraft remain our highest priority,' an IndiGo spokesperson emphasized. The incident is currently under investigation, with authorities being promptly informed.
