The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2026 examination has been cancelled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) amid allegations of paper leak, leaving many students anxious and uncertain about their future.

Aspirants who had spent months and even years preparing for the exam are now burdened with the stress of re-examination and the uncertainty of whether they will be able to perform similarly again.

Abhishek Verma, an aspirant from Lucknow, expressed his disappointment and frustration, stating that the cancellation of the exam was 'demotivating' and that he had to restart his final phase of preparation, which would be mentally draining.

Another aspirant, Shashank Maurya, who has appeared multiple times for the highly competitive examination, alleged that solver gangs help others get papers in advance, enabling them to secure seats unfairly.

Jiya, a student from Bhilwara, felt devastated after two years of hard work, and the decision to cancel the exam felt like a major setback.

Members of the National Students' Union of India and Students' Federation of India held protests in Delhi, raising slogans against the alleged paper leak and demanding accountability from the Union education ministry and the NTA.
