All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi has called upon External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to evacuate an Indian student stranded in Tehran, Iran. Ayman Fatima, a student at the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, has been unable to contact her family since the unrest in Iran began. Her father, who is currently in the UAE, has requested Owaisi and Jaishankar to intervene and facilitate her evacuation. The Indian embassy in Iran has issued a 'leave now' advisory for all Indian nationals, including students like Fatima, who are stranded in the country. The embassy has urged citizens to exercise caution and stay in contact with the embassy for any assistance. With over 10,000 Indians, including students, currently living in Iran, the situation is a cause for concern. Owaisi has taken to social media to draw Jaishankar's attention to Fatima's situation, stating that her passport is with the university authorities and there has been no contact with her family. He has requested Jaishankar to intervene at the earliest to ensure Fatima's safe evacuation from Iran.
