In a chilling incident, police in Saharanpur, India, discovered the bodies of five family members, including a couple, their mother, and two young sons, with gunshot wounds to the head. The deceased were identified as Ashok Rathi, a land surveyor, his wife Ajanta, his mother Vidyawati, and their sons Kartik and Dev. The bodies were found in the same room, with three loaded country-made pistols discovered next to Ashok Rathi's body. According to authorities, the shots were fired from a close range, and an investigation is underway to determine whether the pistols were licensed. Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Tiwari confirmed that the family's house in Kaushik Vihar colony had been sealed to prevent any interference with the investigation. The police are gathering information about the family's background and reviewing CCTV footage in the area. Ashok Rathi had received his land surveyor job on compassionate grounds after his father's death and was working in Nakur tehsil. His sons were studying in classes 10 and 11.
