The Prayagraj Mela Authority has issued a second notice to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, citing a recent incident on Mauni Amavasya. The incident occurred when Saraswati allegedly broke through a barricade at the reserved bridge, causing congestion and posing a risk of a stampede. According to the notice, the administration is considering withdrawing land and facilities provided to Saraswati's institution and permanently barring him from the fair due to the incident. The administration claims that the breach of crowd control measures could have resulted in serious loss of life. Saraswati's media in-charge, Shailendra Yogiraj, has accused the government of acting with vendetta, claiming that the notice was backdated and only came to their attention after being informed by a staff member. This is the second notice issued to Saraswati, following a previous one citing a Supreme Court order regarding his claim to the title of Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth.
