Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is set to face a floor test in the state Assembly today, with the outcome determining his party's future in the state.

Despite winning 108 seats in the Assembly elections, TVK fell short of the 118 majority mark.

Vijay's party has secured support from smaller parties like VCK and IUML, as well as the Congress, taking the tally to 121.

However, a new twist emerged as a faction of AIADMK MPs pledged support to Vijay's party, sparking speculation over the extent of support TVK will receive.

A party MP has warned MLAs against the anti-defection law, stating that those acting against the official whip may face disqualification.

The floor test will be a crucial test for Vijay's leadership and the future of TVK in the state.
