A 28-year-old first-year student at Guru Dronacharya Ayurvedic College in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur has died under suspicious circumstances, prompting protests from his family. Vishal, who joined the college in December 2025, was found dead on Sunday evening. His family received a call claiming he was involved in an accident, but when they arrived, they were told he had passed away. The family alleges that Vishal was murdered and that there were complaints about ragging, which were not addressed by the authorities. Vishal's brother claims that senior students had a grudge against him over a dispute involving a girl and were planning to harm him. The family also suspects that the college authorities tampered with Vishal's phone records and messages before his death. An investigation is underway, with the body sent for post-mortem. A heavy police force has been deployed in and around the college campus as a precautionary measure. The college management has not issued any statement on the incident. Vishal's family has identified several students and a teacher as conspirators and has accused them of attempting to destroy evidence. The case is currently under investigation.
