UP Woman Farmer Activist Found Brutally Murdered; Police Investigate

A 40-year-old woman, linked to a local farmers' union, was found dead in a vacant plot near a canal in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary findings indicate that she was killed by crushing her head with a heavy object, her body then dumped at the scene. The discovery was made by locals on Monday, with Circle Officer Sangam Kumar confirming severe head injuries. The victim, Sunita, was a resident of Ashrafpur village and lived with her four children in the area. Her husband, who works in Rishikesh, has been informed about the incident. A post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine the cause of death. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Sunita's murder.
