The fourth day of the Asian Games 2026 saw India's women's team bring the contingent's first gold of the ongoing edition after beating Sri Lanka in the final by 147 runs. With this, Harmanpreet Kaur's team successfully defended their crown and cemented their place as the best Asian side at the moment. Moreover, the Indian men's team assured the badminton contingent their first medal after beating Japan 3-0 in the quarter-finals.Overall, Day 4 was a mixed bag for the Indian contingent, as the women's badminton team went down to Japan, and the shooters also failed to rise to the occasion in the mixed 10m air rifle team event.
