CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals cruised past the Arizona Cardinals 37-14 on Sunday, thanks in large part to Ja'Marr Chase's impressive performances. Chase caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for 305 yards. This marked the 28th time Burrow has passed for 300 yards or more, tying Andy Dalton for the most in franchise history. Chase's seven catches for 60 yards made him the first player in NFL history to achieve at least 80 receptions, 1,000 receiving yards, and seven touchdown catches in each of his first five seasons. Bengals coach Zac Taylor praised Burrow's performance, saying, 'He's playing like I know Joe to play. It's fun to watch.' The Bengals' improved defense played a crucial role in their victory, holding the Cardinals to 233 total yards. Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns but was sacked four times. The Cardinals' tight end, Trey McBride, had a standout game with 10 catches, breaking the NFL single-season record for tight ends with 119 receptions. Bengals running back Chase Brown rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns, helping the team improve to 3-2 since Burrow returned from left toe surgery. The Bengals' offense scored on their first two possessions, with Chase catching a short pass from Burrow and diving into the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown. Samaje Perine's 1-yard TD run capped a 12-play, 79-yard drive, putting the Bengals ahead 13-0. The Cardinals drove 70 yards in five plays for their first points, with Michael Wilson's 38-yard touchdown reception making it 13-7. Chase's 8-yard TD catch put the Bengals ahead 23-7 with 1:15 remaining before halftime. The Bengals continued to dominate in the second half, driving 84 yards in 11 plays on their first possession of the third quarter, capped by Brown's 6-yard TD plunge. The Bengals' trick play in the third quarter, with Burrow completing a 21-yard pass to right tackle Cody Ford, set up Brown's second rushing TD. Ford broke two tackles before being brought down at the 2-yard line. The Bengals will host the Cleveland Browns next weekend, while the Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Rams.
