Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed during a friendly match against Ukraine, five years after a cardiac arrest at the European Championship. He was taken to a hospital, where he is conscious and doing well.
Eriksen has been fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) since his cardiac arrest in 2021. He was briefly unconscious but regained consciousness quickly and is undergoing further examinations.
Eriksen's long-time partner is Sabrina Kvist Jensen, with whom he has two children. Their son, Alfred, was born in 2018, and their daughter's birth was announced in late 2020 or early 2021, although her name remains undisclosed.
