Cleveland Browns' rookie running back Quinshon Judkins suffered a serious leg injury during Sunday's home game against the Buffalo Bills. The second-quarter injury forced Judkins to be carted off the field after he was tackled by Bills linebacker Matt Milano. Initial reports indicated a fumble, but a closer look at the video revealed a potentially more severe injury. The play, which occurred with two minutes remaining before halftime, showed Judkins' right foot remaining planted while he absorbed the hit. He immediately displayed signs of distress as he attempted to move his lower leg, prompting medical staff to apply an air cast. According to coach Kevin Stefanski, Judkins dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Judkins is being evaluated for a potential knee injury, which may impact his availability for the rest of the season and potentially the 2026 campaign. Before his injury, Judkins recorded eight carries for 22 yards and added five receptions for 29 yards. The second-round pick out of Ohio State had 805 rushing yards and seven touchdowns across 13 starts this season, along with 21 catches for 142 yards. The Browns will now face a significant challenge in replacing Judkins, who was a key contributor to the team's offense. The Browns' depth chart will likely be re-evaluated in the coming days, with players such as Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford potentially taking on increased roles.
