In a dominant display, No. 13 Vanderbilt extended its unbeaten streak with a resounding 98-67 win over Wake Forest on Sunday. Tyler Nickel led the charge, sinking a stunning eight three-pointers en route to 26 points. The Commodores' impressive performance marked their highest in-season ranking since 1992-93. Tyler Nickel's shooting display was nothing short of spectacular, with three three-pointers in the first four minutes and six by halftime. He added two more in the second half, finishing 9-for-12 from the field. Vanderbilt's sharp shooting was evident, with 16 of 32 three-point attempts finding their mark. The Commodores' bench also contributed significantly, with Tyler Harris scoring 14 points and Devin McGlockton and Tyler Tanner chipping in with 11 points each. Duke Miles added 17 points and nine assists to the Vanderbilt tally. Wake Forest's Myles Colvin led the Demon Deacons with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Juke Harris contributed 19 points. However, the host team struggled from the field, shooting a mere 35%. Vanderbilt's defense also forced 17 turnovers, which ultimately proved costly for the Demon Deacons. The Commodores' victory marked their second win in a three-game span with eight three-pointers. They will next face New Haven on December 29, while Wake Forest will visit N.C. State on December 31.
